Our Story
Kate and Jeff founded Dream Travel By Design in 2021 with a passion for using their extensive travel experience to help clients explore the world. After planning a complex family vacation with a travel agent in 2020, they recognized the immense value a professional advisor can bring. However, they also saw opportunities to greatly enhance the personalization of the travel experience. By blending their personalized service with their decades of planning family vacations and church trips—along with Jeff’s unique insights from his travels as a pilot in the Air National Guard—Jeff and Kate ensure that clients enjoy peace of mind, knowing they are in expert hands.

Born in California, Kate and her family moved to Minnesota as a teenager. During those younger years, Kate only traveled in the United States. After marrying Jeff, she started to travel to faraway places like Germany, Switzerland and Italy. These trips sparked her love of travel! One of her favorite trips was a 13 day Mediterranean Cruise with stops in Italy, Sicily, Croatia, Spain, and France! Some beloved recent vacations were going with the whole family on a cruise in the Bahamas and a cruise with Jeff to Alaska! Kate’s passion is designing vacations that create wonderful memories to last a lifetime!
