Requirements
We’re looking for advisors who bring both passion and professionalism to their work. To be considered, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen residing within the United States (we are not
currently hiring in California, Florida, Hawaii, or Washington) - Pass a background and credit check
- Have a reliable computer, phone, and high-speed internet
- Be comfortable working on commission and fees
(Note: commissions are typically paid after clients travel) - Have the ability to find your own leads
(though some may be provided as well) - Be willing to maintain Dream Travel By Design’s 5-star reputation by representing our brand with integrity, professionalism, and top-tier customer service
- Maintain our brand standards and guidelines
- Abide by our Hiring Agreement

- Advisors are responsible for their own clients and leads, though marketing support is available, and some leads may be passed
to you - Our agency specializes in thoughtfully designed, personalized vacations for premium and luxury clients. We don’t market for low-budget or cookie-cutter travel.

Do travel agents still exist?
Yes! In fact, the demand for travel advisors is growing as travelers seek expert guidance, personalized planning, and support in an increasingly complex travel landscape.
How do I get paid?
This is a commission-based position. We offer a competitive commission split. Most trips pay commission after the client travels. You are also encouraged to charge trip planning fees for your service, which are fully yours to keep.
What is an Independent Travel Advisor?
As a 1099 independent contractor with Dream Travel By Design, you’ll run your own travel business under our agency umbrella. You’ll set your own schedule and create your client base, while gaining access to our experience, tools, systems, and support.
Do clients come to my home?
No. Most client communication is done by phone, email, or video call. You’ll be able to work from anywhere with internet access. If a client is local, you can choose to meet them at a public place like a library, coffee shop, or restaurant, but it’s not required to do so.
